Getting Started — how to install Swymetric

⚠️ Already got login details from your club?

If your coach or club admin has already added you as a member, you already have (or will receive) a login email and password — please use those to log in.

Please do not register a new account. Signing up for a brand-new account will not connect you to your club, your squad, or your existing profile. If you don't have your login details, ask your club admin or coach.

Not sure which kind of account is right for you? See our simple guide to picking the right one.

First Login

Already have login details from your club? Do these steps, in this order

Log in with the email and password your club sent you, then go to Profile and follow these two steps in order — updating your email before your password matters, see why below.

Step 1

📧 Update your email first

  1. In Profile, under Security, tap "Update your email address"
  2. Enter a valid email address you can actually receive mail at — not the auto-generated one your club gave you
  3. Tap "Send Code" — a verification code is sent to that new address
  4. Check your email, enter the code, then tap "Confirm"

You'll get a confirmation email once your login email has been updated.

Step 2

🔑 Then set a new password

  1. Once step 1 is done, in Profile under Security, tap "Change your password"
  2. Enter a new password of your choosing — at least 6 characters — and confirm it
  3. Tap "Change Password" to save it

You'll get another confirmation email once your password has been updated.

⚠️ Why the order matters

We auto-generate your login credentials so Swymetric doesn't have to individually contact every member for their email first — collecting those one by one can take days. Updating your email is how you finish setting yours up properly, and it has to come before you change your password.

📩 If you ever get locked out or forget your password, your reset code is sent to whatever email is on your profile. If you changed your password without updating your email first, that reset code goes to your old auto-generated address — one you can't check — and you will not receive it. You'd then need to ask your club or Swymetric to reset your details for you manually, every time.

You can also add your cell number in Profile — it's an extra way to receive login codes, on top of email, not instead of it.

🛠️ A friendly note from the Swymetric dev team 👋

Welcome to Swymetric!

We've spent countless hours building, testing, breaking, fixing, and testing again to make sure everything works as smoothly as possible. The platform has been through thousands of tests before launch, but software is still created by humans, fuelled by coffee, late nights, early mornings, and the occasional "How on earth did that happen?" moment.

Behind the scenes, there are hundreds of thousands of moving parts working together every second. Most of the time they're perfectly in sync, but every now and then a tiny 🐛 code gremlin manages to slip through the cracks.

If you spot something that doesn't look quite right, whether it's a 🐞 bug, 🪲 glitch, or something that simply feels a bit odd, please don't suffer in silence. Let us know! Every report helps us make Swymetric even better for everyone.

🐛 Help us catch the bugs!

The best bug reports include:

  • 📸 A screenshot (or screen recording if possible)
  • 👆 What you tapped or were trying to do
  • 🤔 What you expected to happen
  • 😅 What actually happened

📧 support@swymetric.co.za

🐛 No bug is too small.
🐞 No gremlin is too sneaky.
🪲 Every report helps us squash the bugs and make Swymetric better for everyone.

Thanks for helping us build something great.

Happy swimming! 🏊‍♂️🚀
